Martini 494 Bistro goes green!

Martini 494 Newark barMartini Bistro and Bar 494 is committed to embracing sustainable practices.

  • Our bar and communal table lumber are yellow pine and white pine collected from demolition sites throughout the City of Newark. Martinis 494 pays homage to 35 Edison Place and 17-19 Crawford Street through these handcarved structures. Martinis 494 thanks our friends- master craftsman, Hector Ducci, Hanini Construction and The Crawford Street Partners.
  • We recycle paper, bottles and cans
  • We use recycled glass bottles and jars for condiments and water
  • Hand dryers in restrooms limit paper towel usage
  • We use Energy Star rated equipment when possible
  • Martini Bistro and Bar 494 is beside the light rail, Broad Street Station and NJ Transit’s bus stop making the restaurant is easily reachable by numerous modes of public transportation
  • Website hosted on Green, Solar Powered web server in California
